Airglide take the racing world by storm

We always knew that Airglide had a product and application that performed in the aviation industry with proven ability to reduce surface drag, save fuel and protection against scratch and impact. Airglide product is fully certified, accredited and supported by independent scientific data and approved by major aircraft manufacturers.

But in the last few weeks, Airglide Ultimate has been introduced to the racing world, and quite frankly has taken race car performance levels to a point where the results cannot be ignored.

Results have been outstanding with Airglide Ultimate’s application in 5 race classes from the Ginetta Series up to Renault Clio Cup series as support races for the British Touring Car Championship series.

Since Silverstone, the penultimate BTCC and lately the last BTCC round at Brands Hatch, Airglide has given the driver the advantage in all the above and more.

Following the success of Sam Randon in the Michelin Clio Cup Series, I was introduced to Robert Sandham, the UK Director of Airglide at the Silverstone BTCC race meeting.

After last practice, Airglide Ultimate was applied to my Vauxhall Insigna number 31 and I’ve never looked back!

Silverstone gave me P6 on the grid,my highest grid start for the season, the fastest sector speed through sector 1 and second fastest through sector 2, and an outstanding increase in lap speed.

The seasons climax came a Brands Hatch this weekend after a disappointing qualification due to engine misfire.

I gained an unbelievable P2 on the grid for the last race of the series, fought a great battle with the BTCC current champion Sheddon and gained my first podium of the season finishing 2nd and picking up 31 points to the bargain.
